The Jordan Brand takes us back to their early days with this hybrid of classic Spike Lee endorsed Jordan shoes to bring to life the all new Son of Mars.
The Jordan Son of Mars arrives in a another sweet look for the end of the summer, sporting a subtle yet still eye-catching color scheme. Stealth grey covers the OG-inspired upper, which borrows design cues from the Air Jordan III, IV, V and Air Jordan VI. Shaded blue adds some life to the classic look, covering the Air Jordan V tongue, midsole and outsole. White laces and yellow accents are also thrown into the mix, completing another impressive look for the Jordan Son of Mars.

The Infrared colorway of the Jordan Spizike will hit Eastbay.com tonight at 11pm CST, Midnight EST. It is the fourth colorway of the year for the Spizike model that was originally released in 2006. For those of you that aren’t familiar with the Spizike shoe, it’s a combination of legendary Nike ad man Mars Blackmon’s favorite Air Jordans (AJ 3, 4, 5, 6, 20). The Mars Blackmon character was played by acclaimed film maker Spike Lee hence the name Spizike. This particular color scheme is inspired by the Infrared Air Jordan VI originally released in the early 1990s.

Yankees fans are probably still riding the emotional high from last year’s World Championship. For those that weren’t still celebrating, the ring ceremony that took place at Yankee Stadium earlier this season, where the players were given their championship rings, served as a reminder. The Yankees started out slow this season, but now fifteen games in are back near the top with the second best record in baseball.
Last year’s World Championship was the 27th in Yankee history and one of the New York’s biggest fans, Spike Lee, helped create this commemorative 59Fiftyfitted hat from New Era. Spike’s twist on the classic navy blue fitted features the classic stitched “NY” on the front panel with printed years to pay tribute to each of the year’s that the Bronx Bombers won a championship. Yankee fans can pick up the Spike Lee fitted Yankees cap in time for this weekend’s series against last season’s ALCS runner up and cross-country rival the Angels.
