If you’ve been keeping a close eye on social media lately, then you probably have an idea of who adidas Basketball has signed to make up its 2013 class.
Today, adidas officially announces partnerships with Ben McLemore (Sacramento Kings), Steven Adams (Oklahoma City Thunder), Shabazz Muhammad (Minnesota Timberwolves), Tony Snell (Chicago Bulls), Tim Hardaway Jr. (New York Knicks), Erik Murphy (Chicago Bulls) and Peyton Siva (Detroit Pistons.) These young men join a roster that already includes former MVP Derrick Rose, three-time Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard, reigning Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard and four-time NBA champion Tim Duncan.
“Each of these young players have demonstrated the work ethic, passion and attitude that make them a perfect fit for the adidas brand,” said Chris Grancio, adidas Head of Global Basketball Sports Marketing. “Their outstanding talent level gives them the potential to make an immediate impact in the league and we’re excited to partner with them to continue to develop new innovative products and to grow our brand and business.”
Other adidas athletes include WNBA star Candace Parker, FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona and NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III of the Washington Redskins.
New faces will be featured in a variety of upcoming adidas marketing initiatives and will play a role in the development of basketball footwear and apparel.
