In 1987, Reebok made slight updates to their original Workout model, most notably the addition of extra paneling on the forefoot. With these changes, the shoe saw an increase in durability and officially became known as the Workout Plus. Originally designed as a multi-purpose sneaker, the Workout Plus was a unisex option for those focused on lateral stability and individuality. For the next two and a half decades, the shoe earned a reputation for being the go-to model for the everyday man, maintaining the versatility and resilience that only a few silhouettes can claim.
This year, Reebok celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Workout Plus with a special edition release of the iconic model. Featuring a soft, full-grain suede upper and premium leather interior, the shoe receives color pop in the form of Feather Blue and Overtly Pink hits on the laces, tongue and side panel branding. The use of metal D-ring eyelets give this particular pair the appeal of an outdoor hiking boot. Supporting the ride below is a durable grey-speckled black rubber outsole, complete with pink Reebok branding.
