Earlier this week the Kay Yow x Nike Zoom Soldier V arrived at Eastbay and today the Nike Hyperdunk 2011 that was created in collaboration with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund has arrived. These two silhouettes are the latest colorways in a steadily growing line of pink basketball shoes that are created with KYCF and Nike Basketball.
The Nike Hyperdunk 2011 is one of the most anticipated designs for 2011. It builds on the previous models of the Hyperdunk and includes Flywire technology, and a phylon midsole with forefoot Zoom Air cushioning, that together help keep the weight to an impressive 10.5 ounces. A 3D reinforced midfoot shank helps keep flex to a minimum when making sharp cuts. The herringbone pattern of the solid rubber outsole resides below and provides the traction.

Last month the first colorways of the Nike Zoom Soldier IV arrived, and with the month of September comes a handful of new colorways. The Zoom Soldier line continues to be a design that fits the needs of most teams with varsity colorways and big sizes available.
It also continues to be a lightweight performer amongst the line LeBron James shoes. Like the Air Max LeBron VII, the Zoom Soldier also receives an Air Max unit, however only in the heel, while Zoom Air technology handles cushioning duties in the forefoot.

Unlike past seasons, LeBron made his Playoff run in a shoe other than the Zoom Soldier line, choosing the Zoom LeBron VII PS (Post Season). Although LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers took an unexpected early exit from the Playoffs last season, Nike still continued the King’s Soldier line with its fourth edition.
Like the Zoom Soldier III, the Zoom Soldier IV is considerably lighter than the Air Max LeBron and also has a forefoot strap for superior lockdown. What differs about this year’s Zoom Soldier is the Max Air unit in the heel, which in prior models was Zoom Air. Keeping with tradition though the Zoom Soldier IV does come with Zoom Air in the forefoot.
