Nike Training has just released a new colorway of the Trainer SC 2010. Utilizing the company’s Flywire technology and design cues from the iconic Trainer SC from the past, the Trainer SC 2010 is a lightweight trainer with a familiar feeling. The Trainer SC 2010 may have a retro feel, but performance is far from that thanks to the dynamic fit of the floating Flywire side panels and Air Max cushioning in the heel. The DiamondFlLX midsole design offers up a Free-like design that has been improved upon to give more stability whether you’re lifting or performing drills. This colorway combines Cool Grey and Anthracite, two popular Nike colors, with a subtle Volt accent in the Max Air heel unit.

You would be hard pressed to find someone that wasn’t impressed with Bo Jackson’s athletic abilities. Even more difficult would be to find someone that was not impressed with his influence on the direction of training sneakers. It’s been years since he played professional baseball, but even today he still inspires, specifically this new “Baseball Glove” Trainer SC 2010 design.
The Nike Trainer SC 2010 comes from the roots of the Nike Training division, with design cues that pay tribute to the Trainer SC that Bo Jackson made famous with the Nike “Bo Knows” commercials. The 2010 version comes with updates that include Flywire technology, DiamondFLX outsole and and Air Max unit in the heel. The Baseball Glove colorway comes in a brown premium leather finish resembling the material traditionally used on baseball gloves and also includes contrasting gold stitching.
The Nike Training category may have been created in large part due to Bo Jackson, but these take the tribute to Bo a step further with Bo Knows and the year 1989 stitched into the ankle area. 1989 was the year the original Bo Knows campaigns began, as well as the year the original Trainer SC was created.
