Nike Trainer 1.3 Mid – Dark Grey/Black-Team Orange-White

One of the unique elements of well-designed training shoes is the fact that they’re equipped to perform on a variety of surfaces. So as the seasons and weather change, the functionality of the shoe remains virtually the same. Such is the case with Nike’s newly-released flagship Trainer 1.3 Mid. Constructed with a leather and mesh upper and a Flywire support system, the Trainer 1.3 is a durable model ready to take on any challenges that you decide to throw its way. A full-length Phylon midsole and Max Air in the heel keep your ride comfortable, while a versatile rubber outsole with Delta nodes in the forefoot and Waffle traction on the heel enable multi-directional performance.

This new colorway of the Trainer 1.3 Mid may be the best we’ve seen yet. Predominantly dressed in dark grey, the trainer is accented by black on the Swoosh and mesh along the heel, while Team Orange fills in the upper lace eyelets, tongue and heel branding, the Max Air unit and portions of the outsole. White takes over on the mudguard that wraps around the toe, as well as majority of the outsole to complete the look.

Nike and EA Sports have worked together on a number of occasions, but one of the most popular was the Nike Trainer 1.2 x Tim Tebow colorway, inspired by the Florida Gators team colors. This year’s edition of the collaboration for the popular NCAA Football video game doesn’t have a single face that inspired the colorway, but rather something that is important to college football players on all levels.

For NCAA Football 12, which released in July, they created this unique version of the Nike Trainer 1.3 inspired by the varsity jacket. A combination of chenille, wool and leather – materials traditionally found on letterman jackets – are combined in a unique way on this version of the Nike Trainer 1.3. As can be expected, EA Sports graphics take their place on the shoe, the company logo on the tongue and matching details underneath the clear outsole. The black-based colorway keeps it simple, yet allows the material choices and Air Max cushioning in the heel to really shine through as the highlights of the Trainer 1.3.

The line of Nike training shoes is one that takes a lot to live up to. From the original versions that released in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, to the 2009 version of the Nike Trainer 1, nearly every silhouette has created a name for itself, even amongst some of the most notable training shoes of all time.

Nike’s latest is the Nike Air Max Trainer 1.3, which uses the Nike Trainer 1.3 design, and adds a full length Air Max cushioning. After launching with Manny Pacuiao’s help, the Air Max Trainer 1.3 is now available in two new colorways. The first is a popular combination featuring Grey, Metallic Silver, and Volt accents. The second combines Obsidian with Grey accents.

Nike Training shoes continue to transition to the latest version of the popular training model, the Nike Trainer 1.3. Last month we previewed the White/Dark Grey/Volt Trainer 1.3, which is now available, and today we get a look at one of the most popular colors for a multi-purpose sneaker.

Max Air cushioning in the heel area is combined with a phylon midsole to offer sufficient cushioning and comfort whether your daily routine consists of hours at the gym, hours at the office, or hours on the sales floor. With details that pay tribute to the heritage of Nike Training, as well as more recent models like the TR1 and Trainer 1.2, the Nike Trainer 1.3 is a worthy successor to carry the Nike Trainer namesake. The Black on Black colorway is accented with just a few subtle hints of Maize, making it a great choice for simply getting it done, whatever it is for you.

Nike Training shoes have come along way since the days of John McEnroe and kicks like the original Air Trainer. The new generation of the Nike Trainer 1 series has gone through some changes over the past few years, to become a series of designs that could be considered the most popular training shoes available. Following the Air Max TR1+ and the Nike Trainer 1.2+ is the upcoming Nike Trainer 1.3.

The Nike Trainer 1.3 launched with the help of special versions for Nike athletes Manny Pacquiao and Bo Jackson. Today we get our first good look at a color combination that will release in July. The Trainer 1.3 is covered in familiar colors like White, Dark Grey and Black, and then accented with the always popular Volt. With Max Air cushioning in the heel and a modified waffle sole pattern for stability and traction, the Trainer 1.3 is set to carry the Nike Trainer namesake into the winter.
