The Nike Trainer 1.2 has followed the path of the Trainer 1, with a number of special releases like the EA Sports x Nike Trainer 1.2+ helping it gain popularity along the way. Up until now, the Trainer 1.2 had only been available in the mid-cut version, and we all know that sometimes a low-cut is the way to go, especially with spring right around the corner.

Nike’s Trainer 1.2 has made a big splash in 2010, having success with with releases like the Tebow and Madden Trainers, as well as the MLB Legends Collection. While having no gimmicks or concepts attached to them, the regular releases have been just as striking, and the latest pair to hit Eastbay is no exception.

Grey-based shoes have been a popular fall season choice for years, and this new Trainer 1.2 features a wolf grey synthetic base. Complimenting the look is a black Swoosh, as well as black hits on the top lace eyelets, tongue badge, upper midsole, and branding on the strap and heel. For the Kobe Bryant-inspired Trainer 1.2, grey with the Los Angeles Lakers colors of purple and gold are combined with black snakeskin-like details to properly represent the Black Mamba.
