Part of the reason Nike’s original trainers are so iconic is how well they hold up over time in terms of performance and style. We’re seeing the same kind of appeal with the recently introduced Nike Trainers, which continue to release in new colorways after first surfacing two years ago. One of the models showing signs of a lengthy run is the Air Max Trainer 1+ Low, which is now available in a fresh look.
With the history of Nike Training having such deep ties to Bo Jackson, expect this look to draw an “Auburn” nickname due to its colorway. The shoe features an obsidian nubuck and synthetic upper, with white working the laces, toebox, upper ankle and Swoosh. Team Orange accents the Swoosh border and branding on the tongue tag and midfoot cross-strap, as well as the large 36o-Max Air unit supporting the shoe below.

It was just last Wednesday when Brandon Roy found himself on the end of the Portland Trail Blazers bench fighting back tears because he had benched in favor of younger, inexperienced players. Once one of the most dynamic players in the league, Brandon’s career has been derailed in recent years due to multiple knee surgeries. He’s a player will all the will in the world, but does always get the necessary cooperation from his body. However, he looked a little like his old self in Game 3. He led the Blazers bench with 16 points and helped Portland get back in the series.
What started in Game 3 carried over to Game 4 in a big way. With the Blazers down 23 points in the third quarter, they turned to the guy that was once their closer for a spark. That’s exactly what Roy gave them, scoring 18 of his game-high 24 points in the 4th quarter to lead the Blazers to an improbable comeback win and even the series at 2 games a piece.
Elsewhere, the Indiana Pacers got on the board after beating a lackadaisical Bulls team behind Danny Granger’s 24 points. Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder put the Denver Nuggets’ backs against the wall by taking a commanding 3-0 lead in their series. Lastly, the upstart Grizzlies from Memphis continued to make fans in San Antonio nervous, beating the top-seeded Spurs 91-88 in Game 3.
Check out what kicks were worn on the court in another eventful day of NBA Playoff basketball.

More than two decades in the making, Nike’s Air Trainer SC II has finally returned this spring. Joining the Black/Varsity Red look that dropped earlier in the month is this OG-esque colorway that is a throwback to the style worn by Bo Jackson in the original commercials and print ads for the shoe. Minus a detail or two, this Air Trainer SC II features the subtly colored base and vibrant color pops that will leave you feeling like you’ve landed back in 1990.
This shoe pairs a perforated white full-grain leather upper with neutral grey overlays at the forefoot, toebox and upper heel, with dark grey working the cross-strap, quarter panel, Swoosh and lower heel. A neon green/yellow hue known as Citron loudly contrasts the look on the inner lining, tongue, upper lace tabs, heel branding, Air unit and outsole.
You can add this classic sneaker to your spring/summer rotation by picking up at pair at Eastbay today.

Featuring a lightweight and highly breathable one-piece Fuse constructed upper, the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse not only looks great, but it’s also one of the most practical footwear choices for the current season. Combine the rising temperatures with the fact that low-cut sneakers are the hottest trend in basketball today, and the Zoom Hyperfuse Low fits the bill across the board.
Seen here is a brand new colorway of the Hyperfuse Low, which carries somewhat of an aquatic vibe with the use of different blue tones. Photo Blue dominates the look on most the upper, while lighter Chlorine Blue works the quarter panels, laces, tongue and inner liner. Offering slight contrast are hits of white, visible on the Swoosh logos and Hyperfuse tongue branding. Capping off the look below is a blue translucent outsole. Stop by Eastbay to pick up your pair today.
