In 2007, Nike Skateboarding designer James Arizumi introduced the ‘What the Dunk’ SB, a mashup of the most iconic Dunk SB colorways. Five years later, the concept was then adopted by the basketball category, when Graphics Lead Eric Goto applied ‘What The’ styling to the Kobe 7. Since then, Nike Basketball has designed six ‘What The’ models, with four made available to the public.
The latest ‘What The’ release is the LeBron 11, which remixes eight product design elements from past LeBron James signature shoes, along with 20 different graphics and colors from previous drops.

A throwback to the popular colorway that debuted in 2010, the ‘South Beach’ Nike LeBron 11 will finally be released this weekend.
Paying tribute to the famous pastels associated with Miami’s scenery, this shoe sports a palm-printed turquoise Hyperposite upper. The blue-to-green hue also works with black on the Hyperfuse construction, while pink adds pop to the Dynamic Flywire, lace lock and tongue lining. Medium Mint takes care of the Swoosh branding and outsole to cap off the eye-catching look.

One of Florida’s most distinct features, the Everglades region is two-million acres of wetland that spans much of the state and is internationally known for its vibrant landscape and distinct colors. Celebrating the state that LeBron James currently calls home, Nike designers took colors, shapes and textures from the Everglades ecosystem to create a new graphic applied to the latest colorway of the LeBron 11.
Tech wise, the LeBron 11 features a Hyperposite base for lockdown fit, protection and containment. The upper incorporates Hyperfuse construction and dynamic Flywire technology.
These floral Nike basketball shoes will be available at Eastbay for $200 this Saturday, May 31 at 8:00 a.m. EST / 7:00 a.m. CST.
