With Halloween a week away, Nike is set to launch the ‘Night of Fright’ colorway of Calvin Johnson’s CJ81 Trainer Max.
Pictured in detail here, the shoe sports a bright red synthetic and patent upper with metallic silver and gold hits on the upper eyelets and logos. Black fills the heelstay and midsole, which sits atop a speckled translucent red outsole.
These Nike training shoes will be available here starting Friday, October 25 at 8:00 a.m. EST.

With the latest colorway of Calvin Johnson’s CJ81 Trainer Max, Nike pays homage to the city in which engines purr and Megatron roars — The Motor City.
The ‘Motor City’ CJ81 Trainer Max is predominantly decked out in black, helped by a white midsole and contrasting metallic gold accents. Below sits a golden Max Air bag and speckled translucent rubber outsole.
Performance boosters include a wrap-around arch strap that holds the foot in on every step; 3/4 length Max Air for a cushioned ride on all surfaces; and turf-grabbing traction-on-demand technology.
