The old signature shoes of recently inducted NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders continue to drop in new colorways, including this fresh Nike Air Max Diamond Turf currently available at Eastbay. Possibly inspired by Deion’s time as a member of the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers or Cincinnati Reds, the retro Nike training shoes feature a predominantly black nubuck and synthetic upper, accented by Varsity Red on the cross-strap Swoosh logo and inner lining. White and black handle the midsole, while a solid black rubber outsole caps off the look below.

Throughout the 90’s, before the term ‘swag’ was a part of pop culture, there was Deion Sanders, who would probably had his picture next to the word in the dictionary if the term was ever included. For a guy that seemed to have as many nicknames as he did signature shoes, it’s no surprise his legacy is still being carried on by Nike.

The Nike Air Diamond Turf no longer carries Prime Time’s baseball and football jersey numbers on the tongue, but fans of the two-sport star will still recognize the shoe as one of his best signature models. Although this colorway featuring White, Black and Varsity Royal was never around when he was on the diamond or turf, you can imagine he might have been dancing his way into the end zone while with the Dallas Cowboys wearing it.
