Whether it’s running shoes, training shoes, or basketball shoes, some colorways just seem to always work. After seeing detailed photos of the Blue Glow and Black/Sport Red colorways of the Nike Air Max Alpha 2011, we take a closer look at one of the most popular colorways Nike has had in the past few years, a combination of Dark Grey, Metallic Silver and Volt.

The varying shades of grey throughout the lightweight and seamless design of the Hyperfuse upper seem appropriate residing next to the iconic Air Max 95 logo on this colorway of the AIr Max Alpha 2011. As does the Volt colorway of the logo itself. The Volt surrounding the Nike Swoosh logo o the side panel gives the colorway a timeless appeal and with a newly designed Air Max 180 Air unit in the heel providing cushioning, the Air Max Alpha 2011 is completely new, yet familiar at the same time.

Our first look at the Nike Air Max Alpha 2011 was of the brightly colored Blue Glow colorway. Today we have a closer look at another new colorway of the vault-inspired design that brings current technology together with iconic detailing from historic Nike shoes.

The logo on the tongue of the Nike Air Max Alpha 2011 comes from the popular Nike Air Max 95 model. While the new 180 degree cushioning system is updated, you can’t help but think of 180 designs from the past. Keeping the Air Max Alpha 2011 light as can be is a seamless Hyperfuse upper that is also breathable. A phylon forefoot also keeps things lightweight but also helps keep performance a priority with flex grooves designed for optimum flexibility. Of course, the combination of Black and Sport Red with Metallic Silver details is one that appeals to many, and from the pictures below you can see why.
