On and off the field, Lionel Messi is a global representative of the world’s most popular game. His humble approach, admirable work ethic, and genius skillset have helped him reach superstar status and be considered one of the game’s greatest players. With its new signature Messi collection, adidas connects the Barcelona star’s bright personality, passion for the game, and on-field abilities to high-quality, pro-level soccer gear.
Starting from the feet up, the Messi collection features colorful updates to adidas’ newest soccer cleats and turf and indoor shoes. The adidas F50 Messi adiZero TRX FG blends an unbelievably lightweight design (5.3 oz.) with innovative technology, helping players display their dynamic skillset on firm ground. To perfect this cleat, adidas worked closely with Messi, who helped develop and test the boot, to ensure that it reflects him as a person and helps him perform at his best for 90 minutes. The on-field cleat also releases in less technical versions (available in men’s, grade school, and preschool sizes) that are great for young or entry-level players. In addition, signature indoor- and turf-specific shoes, like the adidas F10 Messi IN and adidas FreeFootball X-ITE Messi, help players excel on artificial surfaces.
For players who want a complete head-to-toe look and the gear to match, adidas is bringing Messi’s signature style to t-shirts, shorts, soccer balls, socks, and shinguards – all of which feature the bright, Brazil-inspired colors seen on the cleats and shoes. The training t-shirt and shorts offer a great combination of technology: ClimaLite fabric that helps players stay cool and dry and TechFit bands that enhance movement and mobility. To complete the collection, soccer balls, shinguards, and socks offer Messi’s signature style and a high-quality design to help players prepare to win and perform at their best.

After launching earlier this year, the signature adidas soccer cleats of FC Barcelona’s Leo Messi are now available in an eye-catching new “Turbo” colorway.
Already being worn on the pitch by the four-time reigning FIFA Player of the Year, this version of the adidas F50 Messi adizero TRX features a Turbo and Blast Purple single-layer SprintSkin upper, flanked by silver and black 3-Stripes branding. Personalized elements include “MESSI” lettering on the medial side panel and Messi’s official logo on the heel.

Messi’s signature cleat has also been produced in different styles to accommodate those who play on different surfaces. Adidas has unveiled an all-new Lionel Messi signature collection of footwear and apparel, highlighted by the four-time reigning FIFA World Player of the Year’s first signature cleat. The Messi adizero F50 will be debuted this spring.
The Messi adizero F50 weights in at just 5.8 ounces, making it the lightest in soccer. Personalized design elements include his logo, name and mantra “give all for your team.”
“After setting a scoring world record and winning his fourth consecutive FIFA Ballon d’Or, Lionel Messi has truly earned icon status in the world of sports,” said Ernesto Bruce, Director of Soccer for adidas America. “We are proud to celebrate Messi’s accomplishments with a signature collection showcasing technology and design that mirror his ferocious speed and natural, fluid style of play. The adidas Messi collection brings together the best in performance technology with world class design.”
Representing the danger Messi poses on the pitch, his fiery passion for the game and personal favorite color, red links up with white on the adiZero F50. The clean white frame of the cleat symbolizes the lightness of his adizero F50 and Messi’s movements which complement the speed-inspired graphics that represent his quick pace. A single red stud on the sole stands out amongst 10 white studs to represent Messi alongside his teammates and his philosophy of only being as strong as the team around him. His name and logo appear on the cleat and “give all for your team” is printed along the insole.
The adizero F50 Messi highlights a full performance collection, which includes a black and matte silver woven jacket, training jersey, short and graphic tee, each piece featuring his logo and mantra.
Lionel was involved in every step of the two-year development of his signature range, which included 10 major testing rounds and the analysis of his on-field movements. His input, personality and instincts led the design of the adizero F50 signature collection. Messi joins brand icons David Beckham and Derrick Rose in having a signature adidas range.
Messi’s adizero F50 cleat features a textured and synthetic SprintSkin upper designed to elevate performance in all weather conditions. SprintFrame adds support to the heel for stability in cuts and acceleration, while a new internal SprintWeb provides ball control at high speeds and a supple but stable construction for ease of lateral movement. The cleat is also micoach Speed_Cell compatible, helping players measure, share and view stats.
For players who compete on different surfaces, there are also different variations of the new Messi cleat. The F30 and F10 TRX FG are modified versions, while the F10 IN is playable on indoor surfaces and the F10 TRX TF is built for artificial turf or hard surfaces.
The Messi signature adizero F50 collection will be available in early March, but fans can pre-order the new adidas soccer cleats today.
One of the most surprising happenings this week in the world of soccer was the upset of Barcelona by Peñarol. A loss is tough to take for anyone, but when you’ve recently teamed two of the brightest stars in the sport and lose by a penalty kick from a yellow card, it’s that much worse.
As for the footwear, Lionel Messi switched up his Chameleon adidas F50 adiZero for a bright, new colorway, and goalkeeper Iker Casillas somehow found an even more attention-grabbing pair of Reebok U-Form than Messi wore.
