Ken Griffey Jr.’s sneaker legacy continues with the introduction of the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury, a re-worked version of the Diamond Fury shoe he wore in 1994 prior to receiving his own signature line. The new Ken Griffey shoes maintain the general look of the Diamond Fury, but updates it with modern design elements like Hyperfuse construction and a full-length Max Air unit.
Though not a colorway associated with the 22-year career of the Future Hall of Famer, this particular pair features black and grey tones accented by vibrant neon green hits are a direct pull from the classics of Nike Training’s heritage. The shoe sports a black, grey and white Hyperfuse constructed upper, accented by minimal hits of Action Green on the toe Swoosh, “24″ on the heel, pull-tab branding and Swingman. Capping off the look below is a black 360-Max Air bag, smoked out translucent outsole and Action Green rubber tread.
