Fallen Footwear is back with this all new colorway of the Pawn for the end of 2011. Providing us with the feel of a traditional pair of skateboarding shoes, the Fallen Pawn works with a full suede and canvas upper and a simple EVA midsole down below.

Black suede and green waxed canvas handles the upper on the Fallen Pawn, with white covering the mid foot branding and midsole. The Fallen Pawn is designed by professional skateboarder Billy Marks, and features his signature eyeball logo on the heel and tongue.

Billy Marks’ Fallen Pawn is now available for purchase from Eastbay.

Since being founded by professional skateboarder Jamie Thomas in 2003, Fallen Footwear has made great strides in becoming a formidable manufacturer of skate shoes. Fallen designs shoes that they describe as “purely for skateboarding,” but the models are typically good for other activities, like walking, running and casual outings. To ensure quality and durability, all Fallen shoes are designed and tested by the Fallen Footwear team.

Arriving this month is an all-new colorway of the Fallen Pawn, the skate pro model for professional skateboarder and Corona, California native Billy Marks. This Pawn features a heavy-duty black suede base with royal blue accenting on the branding tag, tongue and inner liner. Other features include an asymmetric stabilizer for medial support, foam-padded tongue and collar, perforations on the upper for ventilation, an EVA insole for shock absorption and a highly abrasion-resistant outsole for durability.

Chris Cole had already made his name known throughout skate videos with Thrasher and 411VM in the early 2000s, but the last five years have seen his skateboarding career reach new, astonishing heights. The craziest thing about it is that it seems to just keep getting better.

It’s hard to say when exactly Cole seemingly took over skateboarding, but Transworld and Thrasher named him Skater of the Year in 2005, so obviously people were paying attention at that point – people like Fallen Footwear, which will soon be available here at Eastbay. Since 2005 his victory list looks more like an encyclopedia of skateboarding’s biggest events, most recently winning back-to-back Maloof Money Cup events.

His first signature shoe, the Trooper, was launched by Fallen in 2005, and it has been not only Cole’s favorite, but a fan favorite as well. Both the Trooper, and his second signature the Ripper, will soon be available at Eastbay. Check out some of the upcoming colorways below.
