Confirming what we’ve seen on the field this season, the Jordan Brand has officially announced the additions of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant and Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas to its roster of athletes.
To welcome both Dez and Earl, the Jordan Brand created special cleated Air Jordan 12 Player Exclusives. Bryant’s cleats will be white-based and feature a blue overlay on the toe and midsole. Thomas will have two PEs to choose from — both will feature an action green overlay on a solid base of white or navy blue depending on the cleat.
Additionally, Team Jordan athletes Hakeem Nicks will wear Air Jordan 12 cleats in tonight’s game against Chicago. Nicks’ cleat will feature a silver base with the option of a university red or rush blue overlay.
Take a detailed look at these new Jordan football cleats below and let us know which player has the best pairs.

Back in late February/early March Eastbay set up shop at the 2010 NFL Combine to chat with the upcoming draft prospects. It was pretty cool to hear about some of the cats that bought from Eastbay back in the day as well as guys that continue to buy at Eastbay.
Among the nearly 60 guys that we interviewed, 3 of them were drafted in the first round of last night’s 2010 NFL Draft.
Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant was taken by the Cowboys with the 24th overall pick. Dez should feel right at home in Dallas as he is originally from Texas. Bryant was the second WR taken behind Demaryius Thomas but he should be able to step in and make an instant impact for the Boys. After a mediocre year out of #1 WR Roy Williams, Tony Romo gets the gift of a dangerous weapon in Bryant.

Three picks later with the 27th pick, the New England Patriots took CB Devin McCourty. McCourty who attended Rutgers and whose hometown is Nanuet, NY will be sticking around on the east coast after being taken by the Pats.

With the second to last pick of the first round the Colts selected Defensive End Jerry Hughes from TCU. Hughes was a part of the Horned Frogs’ 12-0 run last year. He won the Ted Hendricks Award in 2009 which rewarded his on-field performance, leadership abilities and his contributions to his school and community. Hughes also won the Lott Trophy named in honor of College Hall of Famer and 4-time Super Bowl Champion Ronnie Lott. The Lott Trophy is a reward given to a defensive player who shows great character and performs well on the field. Jerry will be a great addition to the Colts who look to make a return trip to the Super Bowl in 2010.

With the 2010 NFL Draft less than two weeks away, the banter of what teams will draft what players is heating up. One of the most intriguing players is top WR prospect Dez Bryant out of Oklahoma State University. In 2008, Dez had 87 catches for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns. After 3 games in 2009 he was ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season when he wasn’t honest to the NCAA after visiting Deion Sanders’ house and working out with him. In his last game of 2009 against Rice, Bryant had 9 catches for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns. ESPN Draft experts Todd McShay and Mel Kiper Jr. both have Dez Bryant ranked as the top WR in the 2010 NFL Draft.
We caught up with Dez at the NFL combine where he was showcasing his talent for NFL Scouts.

Dez also graces the cover of the early April Eastbay catalog, decked out in Under Armour gear.
Dez is featured in the Under Armour Battle Sleeveless Tee, which boasts the classic Under Armour moisture-wicking material which keeps you cooler, drier, lighter and faster, along with flatlock seams for maximum comfort and mobility. Check out the Under Armour Battle Sleeveless Tee.
He is also wearing the Under Armour Coreshorts, which have a patented X band innovation that supports your back, groin, quads and hamstrings. They are the compression shorts meant for the world’s best athletes. Check out the Under Armour Coreshorts.
And finally the shoe seen on Dez’s feet on the cover are the Under Armour Combine II Trainers which are super light at 8.8 oz. The upper is made of a hi-shine synthetic and mesh. These kicks are meant specifically for a combine-like setting where athletes showcase their speed. Check out the Under Armour Combine II Trainers.
