DC Shoes Ken Block Versatile Hi WR

words // Brandon Richard

For skaters looking for a little extra protection during fall and winter, DC Shoes founder and pro rally car racer Ken Block has designed this new boot-style skate shoe, the DC Shoes KB Versatile Hi WR. Featuring a soft suede and leather build, the KB Versatile Hi WR is coated with Performalite, a lightweight polyurethane material that enhances water resistance. Below, a mid-length airbag provides superior cushioning, while an abrasion-resistant stick rubber outsole enhances traction.

The KB Versatile Hi WR available now sports the famous Ken Block black and lime colorway. Block personalization cues include the drip pattern on the side panels, a collage of Ken Block elements in grey wrapped around the heel, Block’s skull logo on the tongue and his car number “43” on the heel. Standing out from the rest of the great DC Shoes offered here at Eastbay is the all new DC Shoes x Skullcandy collaboration. Not only because the Stack SK is one of DC’s best performing sneakers, but also because the Stack SK offers a bit of incentive off the board with a free pair Skullcandy headphones included with every pair of shoes.

Latest to arrive at Eastbay is this simple black and white colorway, perfect for everyday use. A combination of black leather and suede constructs the upper, with a white and black EVA sole sitting below. The Stack SK is also built to last, with a non-abrasion toe guard finding a place on these.

Nitro Circus x DC Shoes Versaflex NC

Nitro Circus x DC Shoes Versaflex NC

words // Nick Engvall

With the X-Games taking over Los Angeles this weekend, we’ve seen a lot of special releases coming from DC Shoes. To go along with the Travis Pastrana and Robbie Maddison editions we’ve seen earlier this week, DC brings another collaboration just in time for the X-Games 17 action to begin.

For this version of the DC Shoes Versaflex, DC has teamed up with the folks from Nitro Circus. Nitro Circus, also sponsors of many X-Games athletes, has their lightning bomb logo printed across the background of the DC logo on the side panel. The Black and Grey base of the colorway is accented in the Red, White and Blue of the Nitro Circus colors. On the function side of things, an ImpactFX midsole and full length air bag provide cushioning, as the key fex grooves of the outsole make the Versaflex capable of taking on just about any sport you can dream up.
