As a tribute to Charles Barkley’s legendary career, Nike Sportswear recently introduced the Barkley Posite Max, a new lifestyle model that honors his signature shoes of the past with future aesthetic.
Marc Dolce, the shoe’s designer, took inspiration from a trip to the museum dinosaur exhibit and combined those ideas with iconic elements of past Barkley shoes. Elements were pulled from models like the Air Max Barkley and Air Force Max and modernized with Foamposite construction. A glow-in-the-dark rubber outsole is highlighted by a unique traction pattern styled after Chuck’s famous “I Am Not a Role Model” quote.
