JORDAN RETRO 5 ‘CEMENT’ – AUGUST 5 AT 10 AM ET

Remember the iconic AJ 4 ‘Cement’ that Buggin’ Out, a character from Spike Lee’s classic Film “Do The Right Thing,” made famous when he used a toothbrush to clean his Js? Jordan Brand took inspiration from that historic colorway on another classic Retro shoe. The Jordan Retro 5 ‘White Cement’ was originally thought to be a custom, but it will officially release this weekend. Two classics combined? That’s a must-have for your rotation. Men’s $189.99, Grade School $139.99.

Ushering in a new decade in 1990, Nike introduced the fifth model in Michael Jordan’s iconic signature sneaker series — the Air Jordan V. The shoe’s design was inspired by the Supermarine Spitfire Mk VIII, a World War II era British fighter jet. Crafted by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan V was the first basketball shoe to feature 3M reflective material, a clear sole and was the first Air Jordan to come equipped with lacelocks.
The Air Jordan V was also largely identifiable by its graphics. ‘AIR JORDAN’ was featured on the backside of the tongue, while ’23’ was embroidered on the heel. Those same two graphics are printed on the Jordan Brand’s new Retro 5 23 Archive T-Shirts.
Available in White, Black and Cement, these Jordan T-Shirts come complete with screen printed graphics, including a classic elephant print backdrop. Complement your recent Jordan pickup by grabbing one of these tees here today.

Featuring a mix of white full-grain and patent leather on the upper, the shoe is accented by very American varsity red and midnight navy hits on the tongue, inner liner, branding and midsole. Adding the finishing touch below is a blue-tinted translucent outsole.
