Another colorway of the popular Air Jordan 8.0 is now available, reminiscent of MJ’s baseball days in the Chicago White Sox’ farm system. The performance-driven Jordan Basketball shoes are a re-creation of the classic Air Jordan VIII, utilizing a variety of updated technologies.
Flywire builds most of the upper on the Air Jordan 8.0, seen covered in all black on this particular pair. The Air Jordan VIII’s signature cross-straps are also rebuilt for improved performance, contrasting in white to match the VIII’s unique midsole print that we all love, and the outsole down below.

Following the several colorways released for their debut, the Jordan Brand is set to drop the Air Jordan 8.0 in a University of North Carolina inspired colorway. Taking one of the most popular Jordan shoes of the ’90s and updating them for improved performance, the Air Jordan 8.0 features a combination of Flywire and improved traction to become one of the best on-court shoes the Jordan Brand has to offer.
Latest to release is this University of North Carolina inspired colorway, worn by the Tar Heels during this past weekend’s Carrier Classic versus Michigan State. They arrive to us with a predominantly white upper, while university blue handles the cross-straps, liner and parts of the midsole. Stealth grey completes the look, taking care of the tongue and parts of the midsole as well.

The Jordan Brand will launch the Air Jordan 8.0 in several different colorways throughout the month of October. A modern interpretation of the original Air Jordan 8, the 8.0 features several re-designed elements, such as the cross-straps, heel pull-tab, midsole and outsole tread. Most noticeable is the incorporation of Flywire Technology on the side panels, which helps provide a more secure fit.
Of the colorways being released in October, two of them are available to purchase at Eastbay today. The first is a white-based look with Midnight Navy and Stealth Grey accents. Additionally, a black-based style inspired by the original “Playoff” colorway. Worth noting on the “Playoff” pair is the use of the Jumpman/Hoop graphic on the tongue that appeared on the unreleased original sample.
Stop by Eastbay to pick up these new Jordan shoes today.
