The adidas adiZero Crazy Light has been getting a lot of attention in the days leading up to its release, but for the casual fan, adidas Originals is also lightening things up for the summer. The adidas adiZero Originals Forum Crazy Light is a reworked version of one of adidas’ most popular models.
The adiZero Forum features a weight reduction thanks to adiZero technology in two impressive colorways. The Electricity colorway that is bright enough to light up a room, and a more subtle Black and Dark Indigo combination with paint drip-like details that give it a unique finish.

As Derrick Rose leads the charge for the adidas adiZero movement on the basketball court in the adiZero Crazy Light, the adidas Originals team is also getting in on the lighter is better approach that seems to be sweeping through the sneaker world. They’ve revamped one of the most classic silhouettes from the eighties, the Forum, and given it the adiZero graces. The adidas adiZero Forum Light is the first non-performance oriented shoe to receive the “Fast Don’t Lie” makeover.
Although, you might be thinking, who needs a faster casual shoe? The answer is simple, everyone does. Imagine the extra time you’ll save grabbing a bite to eat, headed to the office, doing homework, or hanging out with your friends watching the game. Lighter is faster, and faster means you’ll have more time in the day. Who couldn’t use that?
Ok, maybe they won’t add time to your day, but with timeless styling, less weight and a more breathable upper thanks to SPRINTSKIN technology, the adiZero Forum Light is definitely a creative reinvention of a classic. With colorways like Black, White and Dark Indigo, and the screamingly bright tennis ball-like Electricity colorway, the adiZero Forum Light is a perfect head-turner for the summer.
Look for the these to be available next month at Eastbay along with other new releases from adidas Originals.

The adidas Fast Don’t Lie campaign is just one of the many reasons that the adidas Basketball footwear has been making huge strides this season. For soccer, the ultra lightweight F50 began gaining momentum during the World Cup, and with a new and lighter version now available, hasn’t slowed a bit. For football, the adidas adiZero 5-Star, as Jeff McGillis detailed, is being called the lightest football cleat ever created. The common thread between these faster and lighter designs is one common element, the adiZero prefix.
The adidas adiZero technology that has reduced the weight of the company’s performance-oriented shoes from running to football, will make its way into the adidas Originals line this summer. One of the limited edition releases will be a remake of one of their most famous ’80s basketball shoes, the Forum Mid. The lightweight approach will change up the traditional leather upper for a lighter SPRINTSKIN version, without losing the overall “Originals” feel of the iconic shoe.
Look for the adidas Originals to be available early this summer.
