Last week, Michigan QB Denard Robinson and Oregon RB LaMichael James shared the honors for Player of the Week. This week, Auburn QB Cam Newton gets the nod. Against the Kentucky Wildcats, Newton went 13 for 21, passing for 210 yards and rushed 28 times for 198 yards and 4 TDs.

With the score tied at 34, Auburn got the ball on their own 7 yard line with 7:31 remaining in the 4th quarter. Newton led the Tigers on a 19-play, 86 yard drive to get into field goal range. With no time remaining, Auburn kicker Wes Byrum nailed a 24-yard field goal for the 37-34 victory.

The Tigers are now ranked 7th in the country and will take on the 12th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks at home this week. Auburn knocked off then-#12 South Carolina back on September 25th.
