Last week I chose Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett as my College Football Player of the Week. He had a big game, carrying his Razorbacks to a win over the Georgia Bulldogs. Mallett took to the field this week to face the reigning National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide.

In the game Saturday, Tide running back Mark Ingram showed why he was last year’s Heisman Trophy winner. He had a 54-yard TD run in the first quarter to tie the game at 7. Mallett and the Razorbacks stretched the lead to 20-7 in the third quarter. Alabama cut the deficit to 3 with 6:01 left in the fourth quarter and Ingram ran for what ended up being the game-winning 1-yard TD with 3:18 left in the game, making him my Week 4 Player of the Week.

The Crimson Tide look to extend their winning streak to 20 games when they take on the 7th-ranked Florida Gators next week in Tuscaloosa. Alabama handed Florida its only loss last year, beating the Gators in the last regular season game of the year 32-13.
