After returning to the basketball footwear market with the Slash last year, hoops heritage brand Spalding presents a follow-up effort for the upcoming season. The Spalding Threat basketball shoe features a breathable, lightweight synthetic and mesh build with seamless construction and TPU toe protection. Shock absorption and spring are provided by a high rebound EVA midsole with D30 cushioning. The foot is secured by a TPU heel counter and sandwich midfoot shank, which high-abrasion carbon rubber gives the outsole durability.
The Threat is currently available in five different colorways, including four black-based styles accented by silver, navy, royal and yellow. Lastly, there’s a special make-up for fans of Spalding endorser and Sacramento Kings guard Jimmer Fredette. Already being worn by Fredette during the preseason, the Jimmer Threat is dressed in purple with black accents throughout.
All colorways of the new Threat are available here today.
Not that bad imo. D30 looks like its in a much better placement for impact protection
sucks
you will see these on sale at wal-mart next week
might not be Jordans but not a bad looking shoe for Spalding for sure. they have come a long way since back in the day.
These shoes are one of the best basketball shoes I have played in. The material is much better than what they are making some of the new Nike Hyper series out of. Excellent shoe.
