Xavi Hernandez attacks in the Predator X.

This week’s Soccer Watch is, of course, highlighted by the biggest match of the week, Arsenal at Barcelona. The Round of 16 UEFA Champions League matchup took place Tuesday and lined up two of the world’s most recognized clubs against each other. Forward Lionel Messi led the way in his adidas F50 adiZero with two goals for Barcelona as they eliminated Arsenal.

Although it was Barcelona who came up victorious, it wasn’t without controversy, as Arsenal star Robin Van Persie was questionably yellow-carded, his second of the match, for taking a shot after the whistle had blown. Van Persie didn’t seem to notice the whistle and simply continued playing. He was sent off in the 56th minute, which would become the turning point of momentum in the 3-1 Barcelona victory.
