Kevin Love sets the single season double-double mark.
words // Nick Engvall
The Minnnesota Timberwolves fans haven’t had much to be excited about over the last few years. It seems that every time the team finds some light at the end of the tunnel, it gets traded away or lost to injury. This year has been the exception, thanks to big man Kevin Love. Love scored 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds on Monday against the Mavericks, making it his 51st consecutive game with a double-double, setting a single season NBA record. Only the great Moses Malone has accomplished the same feat, but Malone’s 51 games were spread over two seasons. Love will undoubtedly hold the mark completely on his own after Wednesday’s match-up against the Pacers.
With only a handful of games on the schedule Tuesday, you might think that the footwear would be a little scarce for our Sneaker Watch coverage, but leave it to Gilbert Arenas to shock the sneaker world as he has done all season. Arenas wore a pair of never-seen-before Player Exclusive Jordan Retro 13s that had everyone buzzing last night.

what r those shoes gilbert arenas is wearin?
He didn’t break the record yet, he just tied it. He has the chance to break the record against Indiana on Wednesday night.
They gotta add a “since the merger” asterisk to Kevin Love’s record, though. If he has the double-double record, then Kobe has the single game scoring record. Wilt existed!
Impressive nevertheless. Kid is a great rebounder. Will his stats ever translate to wins, though?
he needs more around him… peak really struck gold with this one… lol Love just knows where the ball bounces, great basketball fundamentals pays off. Now if I could get my hands on those peaks I would be even happier… I don’t know how these chinese companies operate, they will put shoes on players, but don’t release the actual shoe for 4-5 month or even longer. zzz.
LEEE!!!!
Can’t wait until K.Love leaves Minnesota.
