Usually when it comes to seeing signature models for the first time it’s reserved for the player in which the shoe is named after. Perhaps since Kobe’s got so many colorways of his own to unveil this season, or maybe because the Nuggets’ J.R. Smith is never one to back down from anything, especially the spotlight, “J.R. Swish” decided to sport two unseen colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI last night in Denver.
Smith started the first half of the Denver’s game against the Portland Trailblazers in a Nuggets inspired white, blue and gold colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI. Later in the game however he switched up to an all yellow version of the latest of signature Kobe shoes. Which colorway looked better is up for debate, but we can say that Smith effective the whole night going 5-9 from the field to score 16 points in just 27 minutes of playing time. J.R. also nabbed 2 steals to add to his team leading leading total of 55 on the year.
