Dirk Nowitzki celebrates wearing the Nike Hyperdunk 2010.

Every year the Lakers seem to have their internal struggles. This year has proven to be no different. However, this year, rather than move passed the issues as soon as the playoffs came around, the Lakers have faltered. Down two games to the Dallas Mavericks in their second round series, the Lakers cannot seem to get things going. For the most part because they have no solution to stop Dirk Nowitzki, who dropped in 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the Mavericks’ 93-81 victory.
In the East, Derrick Rose proved once again why he was deserving of the MVP award which he received before the game against the Atlanta Hawks. Despite an ankle sprain that was re-aggrevated in Game 1 of the series, Rose led the Bulls with 25 points and 10 assists. It was on the boards where Chicago dominated the Hawks, with Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer, and Joakim Noah each hitting the double digit mark in rebounds.
