In what may become this generation’s Malone vs. Barkley, Blake Griffin and Kevin Love squared off on Wednesday when the Minnesota Timberwolves visited the Los Angeles Clippers. Both players, who are currently in the midst of All-Star-worthy seasons, made sure to give the fans in attendance their money’s worth.
Love extended his double-double streak to 29-straight games, with 26 points and 11 rebounds (all in the second half). Unfortunately for Blake, his double-double streak ended at 27 games, but he recorded 29 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists on the night. More importantly, Blake walked away with the win, marking the third straight for the Clippers.
