Earlier this week it was announced that Los Angeles Clippers rising star Blake Griffin would be one of the contestants in this year’s dunk contest. Well it seems Mr. Griffin decided to use the Denver Nuggets as practice last night by posterizing what seemed to be every player wearing a blue jersey. Griffin dumped in 22 points, grabbed 18 boards, and showed off his passing prowess, handing out 7 assists as the Clippers won 106-93.
Griffin will join Serge Ibaka from the Oklahoma City Thunder, Javale McGee of the Washington Wizards, and Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks (apparently LeBron changed his mind yet again, you know how he is with decisions.)
If you’re money is on anyone but Blake Griffin then you will want to take a look through our Sneaker Watch coverage and re-evaluate. Although as the smallest dunker participating, Brandon Jennings at 6 foot 1 inch tall could surprise many people when the Dunk Contest on February 19th that is, if it wasn’t taking place Blake Griffin’s home court at the Staple’s Center in Los Angeles.
