This weekend the best players in the WNBA headed to San Antonio for the 12th annual WNBA All-Star Game. The Western Conference, led by Seattle Storm veteran, and 6-time All-Star Swin Cash. Cash led all scorers with 21 points, and all rebounders with 12, on her way to winning the game’s Most Valuable Player award for the second time in the last three years.
However, for only the third time, the Eastern Conference came away the winners, behind a go-ahead 3-pointer by Indiana Fever guard Katie Douglas with just under a minute to go. New York Liberty guard Cappie Pondexter added 17-points and 7-assists to help lead the Eastern Conference to a 118-113 victory.
