The use of smooth finishes and synthetic materials in an effort to reduce the weight of cleats seems to be the biggest trend in football footwear. Nike Football is taking that approach on this upcoming release and also incorporating Flywire technology with an aim at creating a lightweight and performance packed molded football cleat. The highlight and reason for the name Talon is the key point in the design however. The forefoot features retractable cleats that engage when the athlete steps in a talon-like fashion. Other highlights include Kevlar laces, Z-Bar technology and Defex padding.
The Nike Air Zoom Alpha Talon will likely be the highlight of much of our NFL Watch coverage next season, as these will begin to arrive at Eastbay in the early summer. With that said, timing couldn’t be more perfect for high school athletes heading back for summer workouts.
This Metallic Platinum, Volt and Dark Grey color combination is sure to be a head turner but for those that prefer a more traditional colorway, Eastbay will have a variety of colorways available in June.
rediculous
if they could only make a non cleated version for crosstrainers
If these are as light as the vapor jets or lighter ill wear them, In all black i could see them on me
i think im gonna cry.
Someone send me pair for Christmas, I can use them for the up and coming season which starts in a few short months
They’ll be available 2-7-11 on Nike’s web, but I hope eastbay gets them sooner for preorder
They’re nice…but did you see how the TCU players were losing their footing with these on in the Rose Bowl The field was pristine and Wisconsin players werent…..still a huge fan of the vapor jets.
these r too raw. but they should make royal blue nd white one this year they would look to fresh!
