Once a powerhouse in basketball footwear, Reebok has made efforts to reclaim their standing in the market again. Those plans started with the highly publicized acquisition of the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, John Wall. While Wall is expected to have a Reebok signature sneaker next season, he’ll spend his rookie year as the face behind the Reebok Zig Slash, a basketball shoe that features Reebok’s popular Zig Technology.
The Zig Slash sports a synthetic base, with triangle cuts near the ankle that reveal a highly breathable mesh underlay. Additional comfort is provided by full-boot bootie construction at the midsole, which sits above a zig-zag-shaped rubber outsole. The Zig sole transfers energy from impact along the sole to propel the athlete forward with each step.
You can pre-order three different colorways of the Zig-Slash now: Reebok Zig Slash.
Waiting on a shoe review to see how people like these and how good they are on the court.
i’ll wait til these are on clearance on eastbay for 60 bucks
they need to get some better colorways of these. the white/black/red ones aren’t bad, but there needs to be more options.
Don’t worry, there’s bound to be more colorways. (Hint for RBK, get these on YourReebok 8) )
very nice feel to them i like how they feel its like your walking on clouds.
If Reebok put the Zig Slash on yourReebok, then I will definitely get one! (10000% sure!)
hi guys here’s my review after balling in them for 3 days. the shoe is raised a lil higher at the heel (slightly), therefore keeping your body weight momentum shifting forward a lil more. it does in a way propel you forward a bit (help push off the ground a bit easier). they are comfortable, but not as good as iverson’s. the shoe has BAD/cheap ankle support. where it wraps around your ankle (top of tongue) it is paper thin. be careful if you plan on playing for hours.
i was always rbk basketball shoe fan (questions/answers/), for this you are just paying for zig technology. definitely different than other b-ball shoes and may or may not be suitable for everyone.
These shoes are very comfortable..there is definitely some energy return on the heel. The heel is raised a little but they propel you forward. The shoe Very light and snug fit..Excellent traction, the best BasketbalI shoes I have ever had. I have worn Nike, Jordans and Adidas. I wear between 9.5 to 10…I had to go to a 9.5.
i think the shoe is great, one because john wall wears them and they are really good for you feet i have the red black and white one i think you should be able to customize your own
