While the Reebok Zig Slash was loosely linked to John Wall during his rookie season in Washington, there’s no question who the Reebok Zig Encore belongs to. This time around, the Zig Encore not only bears Wall’s new “JW” logo across the tongue, but his signature is printed along the medial collar as well. The new shoe also features large Vector branding, perforations throughout the upper for increased breathability, a TPU heel clip, removable sockliner, Zig Nano cushioning element for energy return and multi-surface rubber outsole. Estimated weight tips the scales somewhere around 14.1 ounces.
Below is a look at the Zig Encore in a Washington Wizards “home” colorway. Matching the team’s re-designed uniforms, the shoe sports a white-based upper, accented by navy blue on the side panels. Navy also works the tongue and Zig midsole, while red handles the inner lining and laces. Capping off the look below is a blue-tinted “ice” translucent rubber outsole.

These will be picked up for b-ball for sure. I love that they’re bringing back “Reebok ice” because they’re way better at making it thank Nike. Really, they should release every model with it because it’s a nice accent to any shoe.
