Nike KD 6 DC (1)

words // Brandon Richard

On September 29, 1988, Kevin Durant was born in Washington D.C. to parents Wayne and Wanda Pratt. Throughout his youth, KD would hone his craft playing AAU and high school basketball ball in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area. This Thursday, ahead of Durant’s fifth All-Star appearance, Nike is taking him back home.

The ‘DC’ Nike KD 6 takes on a patriotic arrangement of red, white and blue. Light Crimson represents red on the shoe’s synthetic upper, which is helped by obsidian accents and a light beige midsole. Multi-color laces and star-filled KD logos cap off the look.

Look for these new Nike basketball shoes to release this Thursday, February 6 at 8:00 a.m. EST / 7:00 a.m. CST. Follow @Eastbay on Twitter and @OfficialEastbay on Instagram for all release information and updates.
