We gave you a sneak peek at the highly anticipated Nike KD3 last month and it’s apparent that the success of last year’s KD2 has set a tone for the future of the Kevin Durant sneaker line. With Durant’s poise and professionalism, most basketball fans and sneakerheads would agree that the future of Kevin Durant’s career in both departments is arguably the brightest in the game.

For the third version in his signature line Nike has added a small Flywire panel to the side panel and filled the sole with Zoom Air, while still maintaining a moderate price point of $88. A smooth toebox with minimal perforations to keep things cool, keeps things feeling a part of the KD line. As does the “KD” logo on the extra lengthy tongue, which features a cutout to make slipping the shoes on just a little easier. On the medial side of the shoe, a little patent material shines subtly and features Durant’s autograph emblazoned for the perfect touch. As for performance, Zoom Air, herringbone outsole, and lateral side outriggers, all work together to ensure that the KD3 can keep up with a first step as quick as Kevin Durant’s so you should have nothing to worry about.

Available in December at Eastbay.
