One of the most popular Nike basketball shoes over the last couple years has been the Hyperdunk. For 2011 it returns with a new design that is poised to be better than ever. We’ve been seeing the Hyperdunk 2011 in our Sneaker Watch coverage since the All-Star Game when Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers soared over a car to win his first of what will likely be many dunk contests.
The highly anticipated basketball shoe is finally available to order in a handful of colorways. This particular colorway features a Challenge Red upper with White, Black, and Pine Green details. The Hyperdunk 2011 features a Flywire constructed upper which keeps it lightweight, 10.5 ounces to be exact. Cushioning is handled by a combination of lightweight phylon and Zoom Air in the forefoot, which is all tied together with a beefy carbon fiber shank to keep things rigid under hard cuts across the court.
