A classic silhouette revisited, the Nike Air Max NM is one that many baseball fans will recognize. With tooling that many will associate with the original Air Griffey Max, the Air Max NM originated in the mid-nineties when some would say Nike Training was at the very pinnacle of their success. If not the pinnacle, then easily the most memorable time period for baseball shoes and cleats.
Beneath the Varsity Red top layer of the design, black mesh material peaks through from behind the teeth-like shapes that give the Air Max NM its aggressive look. For adult sizes, a Varsity Maize Air Max unit in both the heel and forefoot adds a little bit of flavor to the beefy White midsole that helps the shoe fulfill its rigorous role on turf-covered baseball diamonds. A reinforced toe helps do the same. Atop the tongue, the translucent detailing on the Swoosh logos adds a style that keeps the Air Max NM unique from the rest.
The Air Max NM will be released in a handful of colorways in the coming months, and the first release will be this Varsity Red-based colorway available February 12th.
