LeBron James’ eighth signature shoe has been seen throughout the season in our Sneaker Watch coverage. King James however will soon be sporting a slightly different version of the Air Max LeBron VIII named the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII V2. LeBron has always started out the season in a shoe that is substantial and then towards the end of the year made the move to a lighter version in time for the playoffs.
The most noticeable difference for the upcoming V2 edition is the choice of material. The first version of the Air Max LeBron VIII came with a leather finish. The V2 edition features a lightweight synthetic upper infused with Flywire technology. The thinner material not only reduces weight but also aims to make the shoe much more breathable. The first colorway that will become available will be this combination of White, Black and Sport Red with additional colorways to follow as the season progresses.
Available January 8th at Eastbay.
