Last week’s Top 3 NFL Match-Up selections were a little hit and miss. The Philadelphia Eagle’s held off a late charge by the New York Giants. Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers proved to be too much for the Oakland Raiders when those two teams rekindled their 70s rivalry. In Foxborough, Peyton Manning made a rare game-costing mistake as the New England Patriots survived a Colts rally. This week’s selections are headlined by a couple possible NFC playoff previews. Take a look at the Week 12 NFL Top 3 Match-Ups.

Week 12 Top 3 NFL Match-Ups: Packers vs. Falcons

Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons

Two powerhouses from the Eastbay Top 10 Power Rankings will meet in Atlanta when the Green Bay Packers take on the Falcons. Two of the hottest teams in the NFL, the Packers and Falcons head into this game with 4-game win streaks. There’s also possible playoff seeding implications on the line, with both teams looking to take the top spot in the NFC.

The Falcons have been lights out at home. Matt Ryan is 18-1 in the Georgia Dome as a starter. Look for Atlanta’s pass rush to try and get to Rodgers early and often. The Packers are playing well, but haven’t had much of an offensive line or run game to rely on. However, while Atlanta fields a more well-rounded offense, they also field a sub-par pass defense that is vulnerable to be picked apart by Rodgers. If Aaron’s O-line can give him a little time to make plays, he may be able to compensate for the lack of an explosive run game once again.

Week 12 Top 3 NFL Match-Ups: Eagles vs. Bears

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears

Once again, we have a match-up between two teams from our Top 10 Power Rankings. This time Michael Vick takes his Philadelphia Eagles to Chicago, where they’ll square off against Jay Cutler and the Bears. These two first place teams come into this game both having won three straight. With no teams in the NFC separating themselves from the pack, this game could prove to be the difference between having a first-round playoff bye and playing on the road as a wild card.

The Bears’ defense is starting to look more like the defense they’re known for playing, coming off a shutout performance last week. On the other side, the Philadelphia Eagles offense is on fire, and they may have the two most dangerous weapons in the league with Vick and DeSean Jackson. The Eagles also lead the league with 26 takeaways, so they can grind defensively as well. Should be a good one at Soldier Field.

Week 12 Top 3 NFL Match-Ups: Chargers vs. Colts

San Diego Chargers vs. Indianapolis Colts

As expected, after a slow start, the San Diego Chargers are turning their season around and making a push to win the AFC West. In their way this week is the Indianapolis Colts, who must still be a little bitter after their comeback bid last week fell short. This most surprising thing about this game? Neither of these teams is in first place in their division. Not only are both teams looking for a big win in this game, but neither can really afford to lose.

Peyton Manning goes from a duel with Tom Brady to a Week 12 Match-Up with the league’s leading passer, Phillip Rivers. Rivers will also get one of his favorite targets back this week when Vincent Jackson returns from his holdout and suspension. The Chargers have won 8 consecutive November games, and the Colts have won 8 consecutive November home games. Something has to give.
