Somewhere soon, the 1972 Miami Dolphins will host their annual get-together, celebrating another NFL season where their unbeaten season mark remains a one-of-a-kind in the record books. In a game where the Kansas City Chiefs still played surprisingly well, it was Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts who were able to ride a Mike Hart touchdown run late in the game to hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season. Joining the Chiefs in the ranks of surprising 3-1 teams are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who used a little late-game magic of their own to beats the Cincinnati Bengals.
While there are no longer any unbeaten teams left in the league, there are a few squads who have yet you pickup their first win. The Carolina Panthers intercepted Bears quarterback Todd Collins four times in Sunday’s matchup, but couldn’t convert those turnovers into points, falling to 0-5 in a loss to Chicago. Also winless are the reeling Buffalo Bills, who gave up 36 points to the Jacksonville Jaguars to drop their fifth straight as well.
