Thursday’s evening games in the NCAA Tournament continued the excitement that kicked of earlier in the day. Although the second half of the day wasn’t filled with buzzer beaters, the match-ups were filled with excitement. Only 11th ranked-Gonzaga was able to pull off an upset in the late games. They defeated sixth-ranked St. John’s 86-71 in Denver.
Third-ranked UCONN continued their hot streak, led by Kemba Walker, who flirted with a triple-double as the Huskies rolled over Bucknell 81-52. Second seed in the Southeast – Florida – proved they deserved the high seed by handily defeating UCSB 79-51.
