Battling in the Jimmy V Classic, Marquette was able to come away with the 79-77 victory after a clutch 3-pointer by senior forward Jae Crowder with 6.3 seconds to play.

Darius Johnson Odom led Marquette most of the way, finishing with a game-high 23 points. While Crowder put in 18, including his only 3-point basket which won the game for the Golden Eagles. Washington fell short behind 19 points from Terrance Ross, as well as a 46-32 rebound advantage over the Golden Eagles.
