While the pro game stays seated on the sidelines, the college stars took center stage this weekend. From the deck of the USS Carl Vinson to the hallows of Cameron Indoor Stadium, this opening weekend of games previewed what looks like a special season in the making.
Several highly-touted recruits, including Austin Rivers and Anthony Davis, made their debuts, while returning stars such as Jeremy Lamb and John Henson showed why they are expected to lead their teams to a national title.
