The big mover in the NCAA Football Rankings this week is the Gamecocks of South Carolina. Jumping from number 24 to number 13 in the rankings behind an impressive win over SEC rival Georgia. The offense was carried by freshman running back Marcus Lattimore, who rushed for 182 yards and the only two touchdowns in the game. As impressive as future Heisman Trophy candidate Lattimore’s rushing was, the South Carolina defense shut down the Bulldogs offense, allowing only 75 yards rushing and holding Georgia to just 3-for-11 in third down conversions. Also making quite a move this week was Utah, who defeated UNLV by the score of 38-10, which was good enough to jump from number 20 to the number 14 spot in the poll.
