Albert Pujols knocked out one last homer in his Nike baseball cleats this week before a forearm fracture put him on the DL.

St. Louis Cardinals fans (and more so, fantasy baseball teams) around the country got shaken up this week as Albert Pujols went down with an injury. Arguably the best player in all of baseball right now, Pujols’s fractured arm will have him on the disabled list for 4-6 weeks. For the Cardinals, who have been battling with the Brewers for the National League Central lead, the concerns are obvious. Losing their best player, who happens to become a free agent after this season, is a major loss that will no doubt shake up the team, and possibly the way the rest of the National League plays out over the summer (not to mention we won’t get a chance to see his Player Exclusive cleats in our MLB Watch coverage!).
Speaking of player exclusives, a regular, and fan favorite of MLB Watch is the New York Yankees’ lefty, CC Sabathia, who got some rare swings in during Interleague play this week. In other action, Alfonso Soriano seems to have gotten a new pair of Under Armous cleats this week and the White Sox’s A.J. Pierzynski was spotted in a creative colorway from Nike.
