Justin Verlander has been nearly unhittable with his Rawlings glove and Reebok cleats.

While the New York Yankees have had a couple of rough series with their East Division rivals the Boston Red Sox as of late, and like many teams, a number of untimely injuries like Derek Jeter’s, the Detroit Tigers have had just the opposite luck. Detroit has gone on quite a tear in the past couple weeks, catapulting themselves into first place past in the Central Division, surpassing the Cleveland Indians behind superb pitching from starters like Justin Verlander.
Verlander carried a no-hitter late into the game for the third time this season. The first time resulted in his second career no-hitter in early May, the second and third of this season have helped him establish an 8-3 record with a 2.66 ERA.
