Earlier this week we took a closer look at the Merrell True Glove, which is essentially a barefoot running inspired trail shoe. Today, we have a look at another of the recent Merrell designs, but this one is a bit more minimalistic, if that makes sense.

The Merrell Trail Glove utilizes similar features as its sibling the True Glove, with a little more style and a bit less weight. The Trail Glove comes in at an amazingly light, 6.2 ounces, thanks to the use of more lightweight mesh throughout the upper. It features a trail-ready Vibram outsole for all those looking for a little off-road running. The Trail Glove also uses Merrell’s Omni-fit technology for a glove-like comfortable fitment. With more of a lightweight running approach than its siblings, the Trail Glove foregoes a slight amount of that rubber reinforcement that can sometimes feel bulky. A number of colorways are now available just in time for summer.
