Every year on June 21st, skateboarders around the world take the day to enjoy the freedom and creativity that skateboarding embodies. Although most skaters around the world are all to familiar with skipping out on their previous commitments to go out and skate, Go Skateboarding Day is the perfect excuse to put down the remote, turn off the computer and video games, to get out and enjoy skateboarding.

Founded in 2003, the day is about skateboarders showing their love and support for skateboarding and the surrounding culture. Whether you attend a fundraiser, contest, demo, or just get out and hit your favorite spot, the importance is getting out there and skateboarding.
