Indianapolis Colts defensive back Jamie Silva will host a football camp at Pierce Field in East Providence, RI from Friday, June 25th through Sunday, June 27th. It is a non-contact camp where kids can learn techniques and skills from the first class coaching staff. The staff will include Jamie and other NFL players past and present, as well as a bunch of his former Boston College teammates, college coaches, and current Division 1 football players. James Silva was born in East Providence, Rhode Island. He played football for East Providence High School where he started all 4 years. He started on both sides of the ball, as a running back and defensive back. He had over 4,500 rushing yards and 49 touchdowns on offense and 300 tackles and 16 interceptions on defense. As a senior he was named Rhode Island Player of the Year by Providence Gridiron Club and was all-state choice as junior and senior. He led his teams to the state title as freshman and senior. After high school he attended Boston College where he was a four year letterman. As a senior he was selected as a First Team All American and All-ACC by the Associated Press. In 2007 he was named MVP of Champs Sports Bowl where he recorded 10 tackles and two interceptions against Michigan State. He went undrafted but signed with the Colts in 2008.
